The Purchasing Manager is responsible for overseeing the management and strategic development of the product portfolio in alignment with company objectives. This role ensures timely negotiation and contracting with suppliers to secure competitive pricing and product availability. The Purchasing Manager collaborates closely with the Technical Director to align portfolio decisions with technical expertise and market needs while maintaining a strong connection with the sales department to drive effective commercial campaigns.

Responsabilitatile Rolului

  • Lead supplier negotiations to secure favorable terms and ensure timely contracting.
  • Develop and execute category strategies to optimize product mix and profitability
  • Follow up on supplier contracts to ensure compliance with terms and timely delivery of products as well as manage contract management at decision level
  • Track and analyze key metrics related to category performance, supplier agreements, and campaign results.
  • Collaborate with the Technical Director to build and maintain a product portfolio aligned with market needs and company goals
  • Partner with the sales department to design and deploy effective commercial campaigns.
  • Lead and mentor the category management team to drive performance and professional development.
  • Constantly monitor the market to identify new business opportunities

Required Competencies:

  • Proven experience in category management, procurement, or supply chain in the agricultural inputs sector.
  • Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and category management tools.
  • Excellent analytical, strategic planning, and decision-making abilities
  • Leadership experience with a track record of building and managing high-performing teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Agronomy, Supply Chain Management, or related fields
